The North American F-86 "Sabre" marked the debut of the National Aerobatic Patrol, featuring Air Force pilots from various departments. Known for its exceptional maneuverability, this fighter demanded remarkable skill from its pilots, as recounted by the Frecce Tricolori pilots. In 1963, the Frecce Tricolori transitioned from the F-86E Sabre to the modified G.91 aircraft, tailored for acrobatics with war equipment removed and smoke generators installed. Renamed G.91PAN (National Acrobatic Patrol), the planes showcased a distinctive blue livery adorned with three red-white-green arrows on the fuselage, paying homage to their Sabre heritage.

A decade later, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the world's largest aerobatic team, We proposed a custom livery to a client for her Dallara Stradale, inspired by the iconic G.91 of the National Aerobatic Patrol, a tribute to its service until 1982.
